Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz, professionally referred to by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter in honor of her hometown. Her father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's father is from an ethnically Jewish family Ryder thinks she's Jewish. Uria is Ryder's younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are her half-siblings. Ryder's family relocated from Mendocino County to California at the age of seven years old. At the time, there wasn't electricity. Ryder was an avid read and often spent her time reading books as she had no television. Ryder began taking classes in acting at American Conservatory Theatre when she was 12 years old. Lucas The film from 1986 that she was in, was her debut major part. Ryder was just 15 when she got it. Ryder endured bullying while in high school. She thought that by becoming an actor, her bullying was going to be corrected. However, the plan didn't pan out. Still she continued pursuing her goals. Beetlejuice, a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first big break. Ryder was able to continue playing parts that proved successful in several movies. In 1993 Ryder was twice nominated for Academy Awards. One of was for her performance in The Age of Innocence.
